Vicki Elam

Dean of the Lower School and L.S. Science Teacher.

Vicki holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Remedial Reading, and has additional graduate hours in gifted education, and training in leadership and organizational management. She has served in public, private, and homeschool settings over her 34 year career. During her educational pilgrimage she has served as: instructor, administrator, curriculum coordinator, mentor, homeschool advocate, and teacher/parent advisor. The last 18 years have focussed on advancing Classical Christian Education theory and practice. I am passionate about inspiring young people to excel in their spiritual and academic growth. Each day I am humbled that God has shaped and equipped me for this meaningful work. If the true purpose of educating is to point individuals toward truth, we must first know what truth is and where it comes from. Since there is no greater truth than God, all learning must be in relation to Him. I view being able to incorporate the truth and beauty of God into academia as a true blessing. My personal goal is to foster life long learners who seek and serve the Lord with the knowledge and skills they obtain in the classroom. “And with truth comes beauty and with this beauty a freedom before God.”— Francis A. Schaeffer
