Diana Nelson
Literature & Language Arts Teacher.
Diana has been teaching upper level language arts and humanities courses for the past decade. In addition to teaching, she has also worked several years as a freelance writer and blogger. Diana earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Journalism in 2003, and she earned a master’s degree in Communication in 2006. She is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and is the vice president of the Language Arts Department (LAD) of Southwest Missouri. Diana also leads a monthly Charlotte Mason study that helps local homeschool parents learn more about their philosophy of education. Diana has been married to Adam for 21 years, and they have three sons — Asher (16), Levi (13), and Judah (11). The Nelsons live in Springfield and enjoy playing at the lake, spending time around the fire pit, and watching movies. They also have three pet cats.
