Patricia Stockford
1st Grade Teacher.
Pat began her teaching career at Temple University graduating with a degree in Early Childhood Development and a minor in Special Education. She has experience teaching everything from K-8th grade and special ed, with her focus on early elementary. She received her certification and a second B.S. in Education from the University of Maine. Highlights of her teaching career have been starting a children’s garden and a six grade mentoring program while at Readfield Elementary, and using puppets in her classroom and hands on centers. She also became a mentor for teachers in an AFS program mentoring and housing many teachers from all over the world. She has continued her educational ministry volunteering with a non profit group called WISE and traveling regularly to Kaoma, Zambia where she helped build a school and has taught English to the students for the past 13 years. She continues to be very active in her church, doing Children’s ministry, working in the Springfield Schools as a substitute, and is a facilitator for Lost & Found Grief Center. The love of children and God brought her to Headington Hill Academy.
